Marianna Vologni is the Head of the European Custom Research, a role she has held since 2017.  She oversees custom research teams in London, Brussels and Berlin.

With more than 13 years of experience in corporate governance, Marianna regularly consults with the largest investors in Europe on the design and update of their voting policy. She advises investors on trends and development in corporate governance and on the most effective way of integrating ESG elements into a voting policy.

Marianna is an active member of the ISS benchmark voting policy committees and is a member of ISS’ Steering Committee, which is charged with updating ISS’ global benchmark policies. She routinely acts as liaison between the different research teams on matter of voting policy evolution and investors’ expectations.

Marianna joined ISS in 2007 as custom research analyst for French investors and in 2008 she was appointed lead of the custom research team for continental European clients.

Marianna has a Master in Political Science and European Studies from the College of Europe.
