Navigating the EU’s ESG Regulations
Are North American Investors Prepared?
ESG regulations for investors are on the rise globally and most recently investors have been grappling with unpacking the complexity of two major European Union initiatives: the EU Taxonomy and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). The former is the world’s first mandatory requirement for institutional investors and financial market participants, who distribute relevant investment products inside the European Union, to provide disclosure according to the EU Taxonomy. The latter requires investment firms to disclose ESG and Taxonomy related analysis on their websites and in pre-contractual documents and periodic disclosures, as well as to analyze and report against the Principal Adverse Impact (PAIs) indicators which are defined by the Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS).
What are the implications of the EU’s various regulatory initiatives for North American investors and how can EU ESG regulatory solutions support a variety of investment use cases beyond reporting? Our ESG experts will answer these questions and more in a highly interactive panel discussion.
