Client Service Managers must be adaptable, eager problem solvers, and able to lead cross-organization teams. Great communication skills are a must as they represent ISS to all levels of client management. Our clients span some of the world’s largest hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers. Managing the relationships for a portfolio of clients exposes the Client Service Manager to a wide range of institution types and ensures a challenging role with daily client interactions. To succeed in the role, a Client Service Manager must learn and understand corporate governance and proxy voting services, learn about their client’s line of business, and bring that knowledge together to provide insight and best practices to those client organizations.

Performance is based on a combination of factors including account renewal rates, proactive management and client communication, contract value growth, and operational activities. In their operational role, the Client Service Manager partners with the account management team to streamline workflow and resolve client inquiries.  After a client has begun using ISS solutions, the Client Service Manager owns and manages the client experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SCAS research analyst will report directly to the Associate or Senior Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the SCAS research group in Manila and Rockville, and global markets. Such support includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Import data received from claims administrators into proprietary systems and reconcile data for completeness and accuracy. Ensure comprehensive audit trails for claims filings and deficiency resolution.
  • Communicate with claims administrators any discrepancies in data received and obtain any missing data to complete reconciliation.

The Desktop Technical Services Senior Associate is a key contributor to ISS’s global customer support organization.  The position is a critical component to delivering high quality services to ISS and joins our IT team providing in-house technical PC hardware and software support. Additionally, the role will serve as Office 365 Admin and SCCM expert. The position is based in Mumbai and will provide global support as available to ISS offices across US, EMEA and APAC. ISS Governance QuickScore is a data driven risk analysis product that tracks and flags corporate governance practices of over 4,000 companies in 30 markets. Institutional investors are the primary consumers of this service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review corporate events and public filings that may impact the corporate governance risk of a company and update relevant data in a timely fashion, in accordance with established data collection procedures and SLAs
  • Conduct a review of the collected data to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from issuers relating to QuickScore
  • Perform the necessary quarterly batch data QA / reconciliation procedures for companies in assigned QuickScore markets
  • Assist in maintaining QuickScore methodology and procedures manuals. Comply with established methodologies and procedures
  • Work with other teams in support of planned product enhancements and extensions
  • Perform other relevant data collection and related tasks as required by the manager
  • Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment and shareholder issues
  • Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write research reports on publicly traded companies
  • Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings of the portfolio of companies in your markets
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or similar field of study
  • Previous relevant work experience in a high-quality and hard deadline-driven environment strongly preferred. Knowledge of corporate governance and/or financial markets a plus.
  • Good judgment in assessing information sources and understanding the downstream effects of data decisions on final product outputs
  • Proficient in the use of IT applications, both in-house and commercial packages (i.e., Excel)
  • Effectiveness in working with cross-functional and cross-border / cross-cultural teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French (Dutch is an asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with clear attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, independent, results-oriented, and possesses a strong sense of ownership.
  • Flexible in working hours.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a global corporate governance company, is seeking a highly enthusiastic Institutional Sales Executive to further drive the growth of our business across the EMEA region. The role will consist of presenting a suite of governance services, including Governance Research, Proxy Voting Services, Special Situations Research, Investment Tools and Securities Class Action Services to a range of asset owners, investment managers, and Hedge Funds. The role will be based in London or Brussels with an EMEA focus and will report to the Head of EMEA sales, based in London.

Performance is based on the achievement of quarterly sales targets and contribution to the future growth of ISS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve quarterly new business sales targets
  • Identify and close opportunities working in conjunction with other team members
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision makers to fully understand the sales cycle
  • Further develop the reputation and perception of ISS within the investor community
  • Continuously assess market opportunities, define and update a sales plan for territory and discuss with management
  • Ensure detailed sales reporting and forecasting for clients and prospects into the CRM application
  • Work closely with ISS Product and Marketing managers to define products, services, campaigns and marketing plans
  • Build and maintain senior relationships amongst ISS clients
  • Share relevant industry and opportunity information across the sales group and with other departments
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in selling to the buy-side or experience working in ESG related services
  • Knowledge and understanding of selling into front and middle/back office working environments
  • Excellent inter-personal, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Proven lead generation and sales experience
  • An ability to work independently or as part of a wider sales team
  • Highly systematic, organised and prioritised approach to sales effort in allocated territory
  • Absolute personal and business integrity
  • Fluency in English and German is required; other European languages would be beneficial
