The ISS Voting Operations team is seeking an analyst for the ISS Control & Audit Team.  The candidate will be responsible for supporting the process improvement and quality control function for various areas within the ISS Governance business.  This position will support the Voting Operations and ISS Securities Class Action Services (SCAS) team on various process improvement and quality control initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, Identify and mitigate risk within the Voting Business
  • Continuously improve process controls surrounding ballot/vote processing, account maintenance, N-PX delivery and other critical areas, to drive efficiency and accuracy within the Voting and Global Proxy Distribution products
  • Build a comprehensive Controls and Audit Document/Manual to be posted on-line, update it quarterly and ensure it is shared with all key business groups
  • Successfully complete SSAE 16 / ISAE 3402 type two audits on an annual basis
  • Educate business and account management teams on the importance of risk in their activities and its impact on our success
  • Serve as the control and audit expert for a defined area of audit responsibility within Voting Operations and Securities Class Action Services environments

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and manage a Global 24 x 7 Service Delivery team representing the front line for support incidents and service requests
    • Lead an integrated global customer driven support organization based on collaboration, best practices, standards, efficiency, and commitment to effective service delivery and responsiveness to the needs of the business

A GPD Operations Analyst performs the role of an analyst for both Network Relationship Management (NRM) and Ballot Generation. Network Relationship Management involves maintaining sub custodian bank relationships and the NRM Team serves as ISS contact for the proxy operations team at sub custodians of our GPD banks. On the other hand, Ballot Generation involves processing of meetings created by the ISS Procurement Team in preparation for the ballots and meeting notifications to be created for GPD bank clients.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Processing vote instructions from clients of GPD banks through to the banks’ local market sub custodians in the agreed upon method and format (SWIFT, fax, email, online voting)
  • Completing any additional paperwork needed to support a vote instruction such as proxy cards, POA’s etc
  • Assisting the account managers in answering incoming client inquiries
  • Coordinating with the sub custodians regarding rejected vote instructions as advised by the local sub custodians, as well as, requirements to lodge vote instructions for meetings with special instructions
  • Maintaining sub-custodian contact information, SWIFT addresses, instruction delivery preferences and formats
  • Processing of daily workload through the internal proprietary application GPD Manager
  • Processing of regular automated reports which serve as review or audit of Ballot Generation and NRM processes
  • Regularly reviewing of processes; recommending improvements where appropriate
