Abstract
Belgian companies usually convene their annual general meetings in April and May, with the majority of meetings be-ing held in May.
The Belgian Corporate Governance Committee published guidance to en-hance compliance with local best practices.
The Belgian market authorities raised concerns with regard to the quality of disclosure on non-compliance with local best practice recommendations, and also called for a closer link between performance and consequent variable remuneration.
Belgian’s main index, BEL 20, will see some composition changes, while the NYSE Euronext initiated an idea to bring together all listed companies with a market capitalization below EUR 1 bil-lion.
