Andrew Borek is the Head of Special Situations Research (SSR) at ISS. Andrew leads a global team that provides comprehensive, independent research into the financial and strategic implications of proxy contests, M&A, and other key voting items, corporate actions, and investor campaigns, with a focus on maximizing long-term shareholder value. Andrew is a subject matter expert on shareholder activism and a wide range of corporate governance topics, and he has extensive experience engaging constructively with investors, issuers, and other stakeholders.

As a frequent speaker, Andrew has addressed a broad range of investor, corporate, and other industry audiences, with recent appearances at events hosted by the Council of Institutional Investors, the National Association of Corporate Directors, and Bloomberg, among others.

Andrew holds a B.A. from the University of Mary Washington and a J.D. from William & Mary Law School.
