ISS’ U.K. Research Team Bench Strength Further Augmented

LONDON, U.K. (March 6, 2017) – Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS), a leading provider of governance and responsible investment solutions to the global financial community, today announced a further addition to its U.K. research team, following two other recent hires. Thérèse Kieve will be joining ISS as a Senior Research Analyst based in London. Ms. Kieve is a qualified actuary currently working as a Senior Research and Engagement Officer at ShareAction, a well-known U.K. organization which promotes responsible investment.

Prior to working at ShareAction, Ms. Kieve was Senior Manager, Pensions and Insurance, Group Market Risk at Lloyds Banking Group. As a senior risk professional, she had independent oversight of key market risks including equity risk, interest rate risk, inflation risk and foreign exchange risk arising from the Group’s Insurance and Employee Pension Schemes. Ms. Kieve also assisted the Group’s Head of Sustainability in the development of the Group’s Responsible Investment policy.

Ms. Kieve will join ISS’ London office team of 45 staff. “ISS is planning for significant expansion in the U.K. to service client demand for its market-leading benchmark, specialty and custom research,” said Stephen Harvey, ISS’ Chief Operating Officer.

Other recent ISS U.K. research team hires include Rachana Nirgudkar and Lewis Naylor. Prior to joining ISS, Ms. Nirgudkar worked as an analyst at MSCI ESG Research and she holds an MSc in Economics and International Financial Economics from the University of Warwick. Mr. Naylor joined ISS from Manifest Information Services where he worked for five years in various research analyst roles. Mr. Naylor holds a BA (Hons) in Human Geography from the University of Portsmouth.

The latest additions to ISS’ London office join the existing experienced U.K research team led by Catherine Salmon, Executive Director, Head of Research for U.K., France and MENA, and including Senior U.K. Analysts, Jonathan Haymon and Rachit Gupta, each of whom have over ten years of experience in governance research.
