2030: An Odyssey to Thirty-Percent Board Diversity

Many public company boards of directors may need to focus more closely on the Earthly concerns of board composition, as investors are “upping the ante” on board gender diversity. Many investors have joined global initiatives that aim to achieve 30 percent gender diversity at public company boards by 2030. However, at the current rate of female director nominations, humans (male and female) may reach Mars before we reach 30 percent female representation on U.S. public company boards.
