Appointed in 2015, Georgina Marshall is Head of Global Research. In this role, she leads the ISS global research teams that report on more than 42,000 meetings in over 115 markets around the world each year, providing institutional investors with informed research and voting recommendations, and producing studies and white papers on issues and topics related to corporate governance and responsible ownership.
In addition, Marshall serves as Head of the ISS Global Policy Board, which develops the ISS benchmark global voting policies. She is also a member of ISS’ Governance 365 initiative, a multi-year program focused on providing ISS clients with an expanded, technologically advanced suite of research and data solutions.
From 2012 to 2015, Marshall served as Deputy Director of Global Research and Head of ISS Research for EMEA covering the U.K., Continental Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining ISS in 2012, she was Regional Head of Corporate Governance at London-based asset manager Aviva Investors, a global institutional investor. She also previously held positions with the asset manager’s financial, IT and supplier management functions. Earlier in her career, she worked in finance and technology management positions in the financial services industry.
Marshall is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), a member of ICAEW Faculty of Finance and Management and graduated with honors from the University of Exeter, in the U.K.
